The Medium is the most general-purpose tip in Tombow's water brush range — a round head that widens into a broader stroke under pressure or tapers to a finer point when held lightly, covering both background shading and tighter detail work without switching tools. That range is part of why it's the most commonly reached-for tip in bullet journaling and hand-lettering specifically, since most pages mix both jobs: blocking in a banner and writing fine notes around it.

The barrel refills with water the same way as the rest of the range — unscrew, fill, and squeeze to control flow — and it's compact enough to travel in a planner pouch for working outside a studio setup. It also blends overlapping marker strokes cleanly on dotted paper without pushing ink through to the next page.
